ATVs and Hunting

At first glance, hunters and ATV riders have little in common. One sits quietly in the forest, patiently waiting for his moment to act. The other tears surround the forest in a noisy motorized toy, leaving a trail of escape.
Believe it or not, these two can be the same when they are united by a common purpose: to transport hunters and equipment to the forest. In this article, you will learn how hunting ATVs work, why hunters use them, how they handle them, and some of the accessories and types available. But first, let's talk about the basics of ATV.
If you look at the range of ATVs in the market, you will notice two types: sports models and utility models.
The sports models are made mainly for fun. They are lighter than utility models, more maneuverable and designed for speed. Utility models, on the other hand, are larger, heavier, can handle more load and can be customized for particular jobs.
As you may have guessed, hunting ATVs fall into the utility category. ATVs are usually single-pilot vehicles that run on an electric or gasoline engine. Engines are described by their size, measured in cubic centimeters. The more ccs, the more power. The models for adults usually range between 250 cc and 1,000 cc.
To drive terrain, ATVs have suspension systems that are completely independent or a combination of independent front suspension with a swing arm in the rear suspension. The oscillating arm is basically a solid shaft that is connected to an arm that moves up and down to absorb part of the impact.
The ATVs are mounted on four rugged tires designed to handle a variety of terrains. The four-wheel drive is the most popular, with two-wheel drive a distant second. There are three-wheeled ATVs out there, but they are no longer manufactured in the United States because of their tendency to capsize. The ATV are in continuous evolution; Yamaha and Honda now offer power steering on some ATV models.
